Pregnancy, rapid weight loss or weight gain, hormonal changes and excessive workout training can all cause stretch marks to appear. Luckily, there are natural remedies that can help you make your skin smoother and get rid of them with ease.
1. POTATO JUICE
Rich in vitamins and minerals, potatoes promote growth and restoration of skin cells. All you need to do is cut a potato into thick slices and rub over the stretch marks with them. Leave them for 5-10 minutes and wash with lukewarm water. Doing this every day will make your skin smoother and shinier and with time, the stretch marks will fade away.
2. EGG WHITES
Egg whites are rich in vitamin A, collagen, and contain 40 different proteins. This means they enhance the elasticity of the skin while making those stretch marks disappear.
Take two eggs, add the whites into a bowl and whip gently. Apply a think layer of egg whites on the marks and wait until it dries. When it does, rinse with water and apply some olive oil on the area.
3. LEMON JUICE
Lemon have acidic properties and these serve as natural bleaching agents for the skin. Additionally, lemons remove the dead skin.
Cut one lemon in half. Take one half and rub it on the stretch marks. Wash it off with warm water after letting in stay for 10 minutes.
Raw sugar can help reduce stretch marks as it works as a natural exfoliate for the skin.
Add some almond oil, a tablespoon of sugar, and a few drops of lemon juice in a bowl and stir it well for 5 minutes. Apply it on the stretch marks, rub for 10 minutes and wash off with water.
5. OLIVE OIL
Rich in many antioxidants and nutrients, olive oil can help clear up various skin problems, including stretch marks. Take some warm virgin olive oil and massage the affected area with it to improve blood circulation, which will reduce the stretch marks. You can leave the oil on the skin for 30 minutes so the skin can absorb the vitamin A, D and E.
6. ALOE VERA GEL
Aloe Vera heals small tears in skin layers and helps the skin regain its lost elasticity. Since stretch marks are indication that the skin doesn’t have much elasticity, Aloe Vera is a great solution for it.
Take the sticky gel out of the Aloe Vera leaf and use it to massage the stretch marks. Let it stay for 2 hours and wash it off with water.
